Removed 1 Tier 1B Security:
- -1 = Discarded Business Record: (“Mojave Brands Inc.”)
- Rationale = Mojave Brands Inc. operated as a cannabis distribution company based in Canada. However, the company sold its cannabis business and all related assets. The company changed its name to Light AI Inc. The company will now focus on the development of a smartphone application for medical diagnoses, specifically those pertaining to the pharynx. As a result, the company is no longer involved in the cannabis industry. Therefore, this business no longer qualifies for inclusion.
Removed 3 Tier 3 Securities:
- -1 = Discarded Business Record: (“Luther Burbank Corporation”)
- Rationale = Luther Burbank Corporation operated as a bank holding company offering a range of commercial banking products and services to real estate investors, entrepreneurs, high net worth individuals and commercial businesses. The bank generated most of its revenue from interest on loans and investments. Luther Burbank Corporation was previously involved in the cannabis industry through its participation in a pilot program whereby it provided deposit services to a limited group of California-licensed cannabis-related businesses. However, Luther Burbank Corporation was acquired by WaFd, Inc., a United States-based banking company engaged in providing lending, depository, insurance, and other banking services. WaFd and Luther no longer provide banking options to cannabis customers. There is no evidence to suggest that this business has any other connection to the cannabis industry. As a result, this business no longer qualifies for inclusion.
- -1 = Discarded Business Record: (“Integrated Financial Holdings, Inc.”)
- Rationale = Integrated Financial Holdings, Inc. operated as a financial services holding company, specializing in small business lending solutions and targeted bank deposit products to underserved verticals with a focus on technology. Integrated Financial Holdings was previously involved in the cannabis industry through its subsidiary, West Town Bank, which indirectly provided payment solutions to hemp-related businesses. West Town Bank owned a minority interest in "West Town Products" which handled the cannabis business. However, this minority/partnership interest in West Town Products was sold, thereby marking Integrated Financial Holdings/West Town Bank's exit from the cannabis industry. Integrated Financial Holdings was subsequently acquired by Capital Bancorp, Inc., a United States-based bank holding company. There is no evidence to suggest that Capital Bancorp has any connection to the cannabis industry. As a result, this business no longer qualifies for inclusion.
- -1 = Discarded Business Record: (“Eastern Bankshares, Inc.”)
- Rationale = Eastern Bankshares, Inc. is a United States-based bank holding company. The company provides a variety of banking, trust, investment and insurance services. Eastern Bankshares, through its subsidiary Century Bancorp, previously provided depository services and loans to marijuana-related businesses, including marijuana retailers and marijuana dispensaries in Massachusetts. However, Eastern Bankshares transferred its cannabis banking and money service businesses to Needham Bank, a private Massachusetts-based banking company. As a result, Eastern Bankshares is no longer involved in the cannabis industry. Therefore, this business no longer qualifies for inclusion.
